Gin Tonic is a British classic with origins dating back to the 19th century, invented by English soldiers in India to mask the bitterness of quinine. Simple but infinitely customizable, it highlights the botanical complexity of gin with the lightness of tonic. An elegant cocktail that doesn't need any frills to seduce.
Preparation
Pour the gin into a large glass balloon or tumbler filled with ice cream.
Gently complete with the fresh tonic.
Mix gently with a spoon so as not to break the bubbles.
Add the decoration of your choice: citrus peel, pink berry, cucumber, rosemary...
Choose an aromatic gin (classic, floral, spicy or fruity) and adapt the garnish accordingly. The balloon glass makes it easier to bring out the aromas of the gin.
